Why website image extraction can miss pictures

Use the page that actually contains the image

A homepage and a product detail page can load different assets. Submit the specific public page containing the picture. A single URL extraction is not a promise to crawl every page on a website.

Check result filters first

A PNG filter hides JPG, WebP, and other formats. Clear active filters and filename searches before concluding that an image was missed. A website can serve WebP even when the visible asset looks like a PNG logo.

Lazy loading and responsive variants

Some images appear only after scrolling or an interaction. Others have several size variants through responsive markup. Browser-assisted discovery can help, but bounded loading times and source behavior limit what can be collected.

Access and download restrictions

Your login cookies on another site are not forwarded to this service. Private pages, anti-automation checks, expiring URLs, and hotlink restrictions can prevent discovery, previews, or downloads. Use a public source you are permitted to process.

A practical retry checklist

Confirm the page is publicly accessible; remove unnecessary URL parameters; check the specific product/gallery page; clear filters; inspect dimensions and variants; retry the failed source once. Repeated retries cannot make a private page public or recover a file the source no longer serves.
